Mentors set their own fee scale beginning at $50.00 per session payable prior to initial meeting. A session structure is determined by the mentor and the mentee. Multiple sessions can be arranged between mentor and mentee.

If you desire to be a Mentor:

• Meet the AAMP qualifications of being a SCBWI Pal member and /or be published in books or magazines, and/or hold and MFA or equivalent degree in creative writing or illustrating.
• Review the current Mentor Directory posted on the AAMP Website and decide upon the services you can render.
• Consider the format, structure, location, and methods which you are willing to hold mentoring sessions.
• Set a fee scale and schedule of availability.
• Because Google efficiently filters spam, establish a Gmail email address to use as an on-site contact address, or set a contact form on your own website.
• Fill out the Mentor Application and mail it along with your AAMP Mentor fee to:AAMP
